The Leasehold Advisory Service (LAS) is a free, independent, and impartial government-funded organisation in the United Kingdom providing advice and guidance on all aspects of leasehold housing. LAS offers advice on issues such as leasehold law, service charges, landlord and tenant disputes, and the sale and purchase of leasehold properties. LAS works to ensure that leaseholders receive fair and accurate advice on the rights and responsibilities of being a leaseholder. LAS also provides advice and assistance to landlords, freeholders, and other stakeholders, such as housing associations and local authorities, to help them comply with their legal obligations. In addition, LAS works to promote awareness and understanding of the leasehold system, and encourages the development of good practice amongst leasehold stakeholders.
